KID’S MUSICAL PRODUCTION

Every spring our kids put together a really cool musical production.    Rehearsals are Friday nights at 7pm.  If you are in grades 1-6, you are invited to join us.  The dates of our production are in May.

BLOOD DRIVES

Januaryand August – blood drives are another way to help the people in our community and the world. When you donate blood, you don’t know who you are giving it to but you know that you are making an impact on someone’s life. It’s kind of like when you donate your clothes to another country, you don’t know who will receive them, but you know someone now has shoes or a coat.  During our next blood drive, please take the time to donate your blood to a child or person who you may not know but on whose life you can make a changing impact.

NEW ATTENDER LUNCHES

If you are new to our church or just started visiting, we’d love to meet you! Join us for one of our regularly scheduled lunches to ask questions of our Pastors. It’s a great time!

BAPTISM

Have You Been Baptized?  Two or three times a year, we celebrate what God has done in the lives of those who have given their hearts to Jesus with a Baptism Service during the second service. It is one of the most encouraging services to take part in. If you desire to be baptized, or want to know what it’s all about, contact Pastor Stephen as soon as possible.

COMMUNION SUPPERS

About twice a year We have a family dinner and communion together on. It’s a time to celebrate the work of Christ and to create unity in His church and our roles in serving one another.  A communion curriculum for children is available in the church foyer.

SUNDAY SCHOOL PICNIC

In September, the Fall Sunday School Schedule begins & we have our Annual Church Picnic! Bring a blanket, Frisbee, some food and join us as we go to a local park and reconnect with those who have been away and wrap up the Summer together!

WOMEN’S CHRISTMAS TEA

This  wonderful event is held annually on the first weekend of December.  Richly filled with humor, moving reminders of the spirit of Christmas and an inspirational speaker that will keep you thinking for weeks, this is a don’t-miss occasion.  Tickets usually go on sale in October.

DHEFC SOFTBALL TEAMS

are looking for a few good men and women.  Players must regularly attend DHEFC – experience preferred.  This is a great time of fellowship and good sportsmanship as our teams play against other church teams across Long Island.  This is a great opportunity to get to know some people from our church and get out and play a great American sport.

EASTER BREAKFAST

This has been a tradition at DHEFC for twenty years now (we’ve grown from 53 to 300 in attendance!), so plan on making it part of your Resurrection Day celebration!   On Easter Sunday morning we gather together at two separate seatings to enjoy some hot casseroles, fruit and baked goodies together.  This has become a DHEFC favorite, so plan on joining us this year!
