Frank served faithfully in various positions and served the Lord just as hard without a title or formal position. Frank went home to be with his Lord early Sunday morning, May 6, 2012. Visitation with the family will be held here at Dix Hills Free Church on Tuesday May 8, and Wednesday, May 9 from 2-5pm and 7pm-9pm.  The funeral procession will leave from the church at 11:30am on Thursday, May 10 and proceed to Melville Cemetery on Sweet Hollow Road. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts would be given to either the Gideon’s International, or The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

But in order to truly generous, and not self-serving, we need to first acknowledge that we have been bought by the blood of Jesus. We pray you are all well and that your relationship with our Lord continues to grow and deepen. In our last E-letter we were telling you how cold Spain had gotten, now we brace for the coming heat.

Finding ourselves serving many worlds now days, we celebrated St. Patrick’s Day Irish style, with Irish stew and Irish music. We had a great time of fellowship at the church with people in from both of our English churches, Torrevieja and Hondon. The spirit in the churches is a sweet one and we feel that folks are truly learning to follow hard after our God and to love one another.

On the 19th, we celebrated “Fathers Day” in all five churches though we were only able to get to three of them. The funny thing is that as we celebrated Spanish Father’s Day the British community was celebrating Mothering Day ­ now that is international!

The annual Ladies Retreat was held in March. The ladies returned having been blessed with the quality time they spent together as well as having been challenged from the life of Job by a German missionary friend.

April has been wonderful thus far. Our Easter conference was terrific as we had Pastor Troy Hassell and his entire family from Bermuda ministering in the Torrevieja churches and in Hondon with Word and song. Our congregation has said that it was our best all around conference yet and that is saying a lot since last year’s was so great.

Each one of the churches is in such a different state of development, yet in each we see the hand and loving care of God. In Hondon, one of the men, Michael, received Christ just this week and we just do not have the room to tell you about this man. Suffice it to say that he belongs to three orders that are well known, two of which are hundreds of years old and said to Rafael, “all of my life I have been trying to earn heaven”. In our Spanish Torrevieja church, Maria Angeles prayed to receive Jesus about 3 weeks ago after a long battle with her own pride. Today she tells the church, “I can’t believe the peace I feel and the joy in my heart.” Then there is Pat who attends the Torrevieja English church. She invited Rafael to her home and immediately asked him how to be born again. A couple of Sundays’ back, she came forward in the service to make peace with God. She attended the Ladies Retreat and walks about with a big smile. So please pray for Michael, Mª Angeles and Pat as they grow in Christ. Pray also for Brian, a gentleman that is presently close to giving his heart to Jesus. Pray for his heart to soften and for conviction to come.

All of the family is well. Carina graduates from Moody next month and is overwhelmed with wedding preparations, the date being September 1st. Jesica finishes her year in May and is off to tour with the school music group. The girls at home are working hard to finish their school before going to the USA for the wedding.
